Cinnabar and Dolomite

A choice, very sharp and lustrous 1 cm-long Cinnabar twin sitting perfectly on white, contrasting matrix composed of sharp Dolomite rhombs. The 'drill bit' habit is quite attractive, and the crystal absolutely glows red with just a little bit of light added. Seldom do you get such an aesthetic display of one of these twinned crystals, which generally were found in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Furthermore, the luster and richness of color are both outstanding. Excellent condition, representative specimen.
