Chrysoprase (rather gemmy)

Chrysoprase is a green nickel-bearing variety of Chalcedony. The finest examples of this material come from Australia, and typically are translucent, but this stone is a very attractive, rich blue-green, "Oval" cut gem with excellent gemminess and consistency of color. The very best of this material is highly prized by collectors, and this gem is excellent quality for Chrysoprase, as they are rarely so gemmy, especially in this size!
