Item Description

Spectacular, rich sky-blue chrysocolla botryoids dramatically cover the sculptural, 3-dimensional matrix on this beautiful specimen. The mounded area of bubbly botryoids really adds pizzazz to this piece. As you can see from the photos, it looks wet and melted, almost like plastic! It is not polished - this is the natural luster. The botryoids rest on a thin crust of banded chrysocolla and green malachite, adding interest. This is NOT man-made and is truly a completely natural, bizarre occurrence of botryoidal chrysocolla from the famous L'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of Congo Mine) from the DR Congo. Amazing stuff, unlike anythings else out there!
