Item Description

This is really good quality "boxbuster" thumbnail specimen of the famous and stunning specimens of Chrysocolla forming a pseudomorph after Malachite replacing Azurite from Whim Creek! This locality dates back to the 1880's, and has given collectors some really beautiful specimens over the years. The form of the original Azurite "rose" can clearly be seen in good detail, even though it has since been replaced not once, but twice since it formed. To top it off, I can see some very tiny golden Wulfenite crystals near the base! This piece is showy, three-dimensional, and that color is just out of this world. I love these pieces, and they are so seldom available on the market. There is one tiny contact on the upper / front portion, but otherwise it's in amazingly good shape. If you collect thumbnails, pseudomorphs, colorful secondary ore minerals or Australian material, don't pass up this beauty.
