Item Description

Here we have a superb, aesthetic and classic pseudomorph from the Ray Mine of Arizona. A striking, upright, tight, cluster of sharp, slightly variegated, blue-green pseudomorphs of Chrysocolla after Azurite crystals are the centerpiece of this specimen. The replacement preserves the sharp crystal form of the Azurite from top to bottom. Most of the crystals are in parallel or near parallel growth with the longest crystal of the group measuring 5.5 cm in length. A couple of other incomplete crystals are found at the base. The piece is contacted at the bottom where the pseudomorph displays the concentric replacement. A classic Arizona pseudomorph from this famous copper mine. Ex. David and Emily Stoudt collection. Large xls for what this is, and valued over $1000
