Item Description

A RARE, large, sculptural pseudomorph specimen from this obscure former Cu-Pb-Ag-Au mine. Blue-green chrysocolla has pseudomorphed scattered upright hemimorphite blades to about 2.2 cm. The pseudos rest on bubbly, botryoidal banded chrysocolla on a bit of rhyolite matrix. Specimens of ANY species are very rare from this uncommon California locale. Hemimorphite is not listed by MINDAT for this mine. A very showy, fine and rare large piece from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from Pathfinder Minerals in Fremont, California in 1981.
