Item Description
Classic pseudomorphs from the famous Ray Mine. Banded chrysocolla has replaced a sculptural miniature pair of gypsum crystals. The smaller pseudo is extra fine with both crystals being terminated. The larger plate has character and color. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 8037 and 8038 and acquired from Hamel's at the MSSC Show in 1976. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A showy and fine pair of pseudos from Ray.
