Item Description
An exceptional and aesthetic chrysocolla after azurite pseudomorph from the well-known 1976 and 1977 finds at the famous Ray Mine. Blue-green chrysocolla has replaced a dramatic sculptural cluster of sharply terminated azurite crystals. This is an outstanding 360-degree miniature example of this rare and highly desirable Azrizona pseudomorph from the Dave Stoudt Arizona Collection. Moore's Compendium of Mineral Discoveries states on Page 400 of Volume I states: "these dramatically colored pseudomorph groups, which have not been found again, should probably be considered the world's best collector specimens of chrysocolla." Valued by the former dealer at $1500.
