Chrysocolla on Prehnite with Quartz

These specimens certainly have been few and far between. I personally have only seen a small number of them over the last few years. This specimen features water-green color spherical aggregates of Prehnite associated with dark blue-green color Chrysocolla "balls" which are sprinkled over the surface. It is not terribly common to find isoloated Chrysocolla "balls" like this, and the association is unusual and attractive to be sure. A trio of WATER CLEAR Quartz crystals are flaring out of the Prehnite for a nice touch. This locality seems to be producing less material than a few years ago, and this piece would certainly make an exciting addition to any Chinese suite.
