Chrysocolla on Malachite

A wonderful large cabinet association display specimen featuring rich aqua blue colored botryoidal aggregates of Chrysocolla which have coated beautiful forest green groups of Malachite on matrix. Upon close inspection, one can see tiny acicular "needles" of Malachite sitting on top of the Chrysocolla. If you look around the edges, you can see many hues of blue and green in the exposed "balls" where several depositions have obviously taken place. Excellent condition for the size, with only one real blemish that stands out on the display side. It's an impressive and noteworthy colorful display specimen from this famous locality. This piece would make a great addition to a large cabinet collection, a suite of copper minerals, or a nice piece for a collection of minerals from the Congo. Valued at $3,000.
