Chrysocolla on Calcite

Item Description

Rare combination of a light turquoise, botryoidal crust of Chrysocolla set on a nearly-complete rhomb of straw-colored Calcite. Most often, Chrysocolla is found associated with Quartz in this region. The Chrysocolla, in balls in the 1-2 mm range, is quite aesthetic sitting on the Calcite. It is a good, very complementary, color combination. This is the first of these associations that I have seen from here.
