Item Description

A colorful, impressive and RARE large combination from this very obscure extinct small mine with a collapsed shaft and dump (MINDAT). Several generations of green to blue-green chrysocolla botryoids richly and dramatically cover the front of the blocky matrix. The numerous striking larger spheroids reach 5 mm. Patches of dark iron oxides are a nice contrast and accessory. The Gary Weaver Collection label (named the North Star No. 1 Mine) indicates there is also Malachite (listed) and Aurichalcite (not listed by MINDAT) on the piece. An excellent, rich, very showy and rare large specimen from the locale. Mineral specimens are RARE from here.
