Item Description
Gem Silica is the name given to gem grade Quartz/Chalcedony which has a vivid blue from inclusions of Chrysocolla. It's important to note that Chrysocolla is typically opaque or translucent, and rarely does one see gem quality stones of this material. Some of the best examples of Gem Silica are those from various localities in Arizona, and this stone is a fantastic example of said material. This "Pear Cabochon" stone has a vibrant blue color with a very slight green overtone and it GLOWS when backlit. This is a fine rare gem to add to any collection, and would end up being a wonderful bargain for one collector, and it was priced at $366.00 in the inventory. Hard to photograph, and pretty in person.
