Item Description
Gem Silica is the trade name given that has been designated for gem grade Quartz/Chalcedony which has a vivid blue color from inclusions of Chrysocolla. I will note that Chrysocolla is typically opaque or translucent, and rarely does one see gem quality stones of this material. Some of the best examples of Gem Silica are those from various localities in Arizona, and this stone is a fantastic example of said material. This "Round Cabochon" stone has a vibrant blue color, and very slight translucency when backlit. This is a fine rare gem to add to any collection, and would end up being a wonderful bargain for one collector.
