Item Description
Gem Silica is a name you'll see in the gem/lapidary world, which is essentially gem grade Quartz/Chalcedony with a vivid blue color from inclusions of Chrysocolla. Keep in mind that Chrysocolla is typically opaque or translucent, and rarely does one see gem quality stones of this material. Some of the best examples of Gem Silica are those from various localities in Arizona, and this stone is a fantastic example of said material. This "Round Cabochon" stone has a vibrant blue color (slightly more green in person), which GLOWS when backlit. This is a fine rare gem to add to any collection, and would end up being a wonderful bargain for one collector. Hard to photograph, and pretty in person.
