Item Description

A great display piece and a very attractive overall specimen from this famous mine. Yes, this is a natural specimen of Chrysocolla. This was a find not too long back at the copper-rich L'Etoile du Congo Mine (Star of the Congo) that is so strange and pretty you can hardly believe it is real. The botryoidal surface looks like molten plastic, and is an intense, deep robin's-egg blue. The largest "ball" of Chrysocolla measures 1.1 cm across. Good condition overall and very attractive.
