Item Description

How often does one have the opportunity to purchase minerals from Saudi Arabia. The piece features beautiful sky blue masses of Chrysocolla on Quartz matrix. The piece came to us labeled as coming from "Rabigh" which has a refinery but no actual mineral localities that I can find, and I can't find a reference to this name in any database or mineral book, so I assume it's from Mahd Adh Dhahab Mine which is actually a Gold mine that's been worked over 3,000 years! A really cool reference specimen from the middle east.
