Item Description

This is an exquisite example of twinning in the chrysoberyls from Espirito Santo, which are arguably the world's best for the species. The crystal is lustrous and transparent with an attractive and characteristic yellow-green color. The crystal faces are slightly rounded from pocket solution effects. It is complete but for a few insignificant bruises on the back side. A rare gem in this condition! Ex. Miguel Romero Collection. Although he was famous for his Mexico collection, he did have some worldwide minerals as well. This was one, formerly on exhibit in the University of Arizona Museum from 1998-2007 or so.
