Item Description

The most classic chyrsoberyl specimens in the world are those from the famous finds around 1940 by Allan Caplan in Espirito Santo State in southeastern Brazil. These specimens exhibit some of the most recognized and celebrated "sixling" twins for chrysoberyl extant. This pristine floater thumbnail has a beautiful yellow-green color with the classic repeated penetration twinning and good gemminess. A great old Brazilian classic. It's not totally equant, but is an outstanding example of the species and famous find. A very fine gemmy little thumbnail for which most collectors do not have a good representation in their collections. Valued at $1250-1500. Perfect ones in this size go for kilobucks!!
