Item Description

A great old Brazilian chrysoberyl classic from the famous finds around 1940 by Allan Caplan in Espirito Santo State in southeastern Brazil. These are the most classic examples of the species in the world. They exhibit some of the most recognized and celebrated "sixling" twins for chrysoberyl extant. This large floater miniature has a beautiful yellow-green color with the classic repeated penetration twinning and good gemminess around darker areas. Essentially pristine. Contacting is noted on two edge faces across the top, with is only trivial bruising and on part of the back side, with no damage, per se. It's not totally equant, but is an outstanding large example of the species and famous find. 70 grams mass. Valued at $2000.
