Item Description

Some of the lesser known Chrysoberyl specimens are those from Ft. Victoria in Zimbabwe. This area is only known to produce a few species, most famously Chrysoberyl. This piece hosts several rich green color crystals, including a "heart"-shaped twin on the front of the piece which are sitting on schist matrix. Despite some edge-wear, this is a decent representative specimen of this well known material. Interestingly enough, this piece is not Alexandrite, like so many of the specimens from this locality. We shined every kind of light source on it, and the crystals remained crystal in all lighting.
