What a beautiful natural yellow Chrysoberyl gem that was custom faceted by Allyce Kosnar of Kosnar Gem Co in November of 2012. Sri Lanka probably produces more colors of Chrysoberyl than any other country I've seen. The rough material is often found as stream pebbles, but the amazing color and clarity from these stream beds makes for some awesome gems. Chrysoberyl is also one of the most durable stones out there, so the wide range of colors only adds to the versatility of this material. This stone is a very handsome yellow (with a slight green overtone) gem with nearly eye clean clarity and a beautiful custom "Blinking Eye Pear" cut. A lovely stone and very good size for this material. Valued at $394.50 high retail.
