Item Description

Dramatically sculptural and surreal multiple pseudomorph from a 2014 find at this DR Congo copper mine. Tiny baby-blue and blue-green acicular Chrysocolla crystals have totally pseudomorphed a striking jackstraw cluster of bladed Malachite pseudomorphing Azurite crystals. The prominent, wide pseudo on the top is 3.5 cm tall. The scattered contacts revealing the underlying Malachite and small scattered clusters of starkly contrasting, reddish, botryoidal Heterogenite (Cobalt oxide) are fascinating contrasts and complements. Ex. Tim Sherburn Collection, a long-time collector from San Diego. A stunning, gorgeous, outstanding and fuzzy-shaped pseudomorph from the mine with four generations of crystallization.
