Item Description

Widely known as "Chrysanthemum Stone", due to their striking resemblance to the beautiful flowering plant. The dramatic and sculptural radiating "petals" are celestine crystals embedded in a polished nodule of Permian-aged, 275 MMYBP metamorphic organic-rich limestone. These are now very popular as an ornamental stone. A fine small cabinet example with striking and beautiful form.
