Item Description

A newly mined specimen of rich chrome green Fuchsite (a chromium-bearing Muscovite) featuring INTENSELY colored foliated crystals sitting atop massive white Quartz matrix. Most of the Fuchsite is lying flat against the matrix, but I found a fairly well-formed solitary crystal standing upright on the edge of the piece to show it's actually well-crystallized. The color is not as strong in the photos as it is in person, as the semi-metallic quality and intense green hue are very difficult to photograph. If you collect species of Mica, chrome-bearing minerals or specimens for Europe, this is a really cool specimen from a small discovery from a few months ago.
