Chromian diopside specimens of this size and quality from this obscure locality are seldom on the market and this is an impressive large crystal from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. The sharp, very glassy, highly lustrous prism has translucent/gemmy sections with gorgeous iridescent kelly-green flashes, to opaque very dark green to black. The complex termination is a nice compliment to the crystal. Complete all-around and in great shape. The couple of spots of modest side wear can be strongly minimized by the display view. Valued at $900.
