Item Description
A hard to find classic specimen of the famous chrome-bearing Antigorite from the classic Wood's Chrome Mine in Pennsylvania. The piece features purplish colored, foliated, fibrous masses wedged between host rock matrix. From the collection of noted geologist Allen V. Heyl (Aheylite), and his hand-written label states that this is one of the TYPE SPECIMENS of the material, and Allen personally collected the piece with N. C. Pearre in 1956. A very cool and historic specimen of this hard to find material.
