Item Description
These Tourmalines are some of the most saturated Tourmaline gem I've seen. Over the last 10+ years, there have been crystals and mineral specimens of this material on the market, but rarely are they clean enough to cut stones. This "Oval Brilliant" cut gem shows a rich emerald green color face up. The presence of chromium, a strong chromophore in the gem world, is what causes this intense green color. Understandably, the stone is not 100% clean, as Tourmaline is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone, which means inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors. If you collect Tourmalines, these are rare on the market, and certainly worth adding to any Tourmaline suite.
