Diopside and tremolite combinations are RARE from the Khyber Pass area of Nangarhar Province. Riveting, sharp, layered, lustrous and translucent, pistachio-green diopside crystals, to 2.5 cm, are scattered jackstraw-style on the large, essentially solid diopside matrix plate. The RARE and rich bundles of fibrous tremolite needles are a noteworthy association on this two-sided plate. Leave it to Herb Obodda to obtain such a showy and excellent combination rarity.
