Chondrodite with Spinel

Item Description

An excellent association specimen from the famous Sungate Mine featuring rarely seen and very good sized, lustrous, deep golden orange crystals of Chondrodite measuring up to 4.3 cm! which are associated with dozens of very sharp, lustrous, translucent, octahedra of Spinel which are sitting atop contrasting grey Quartz matrix. The piece displays beautifully, and the contrasting orange and pink shades makes for a lovely combination. When backilt, the main Chondrodite crystal shows an intense warm orange internal hue. One of the very few Chondrodites from Vietnam that I have offered, and certainly very good sized for the species. Valued at $1250.
