Item Description
Chondrodite is a member of the Humite Group of silicates and is an uncommon accessory species from Afghanistan. Sharp, highly lustrous, translucent/gemmy crystals to 1.0 cm are attractively scattered on the sculptural muscovite matrix. The prismatic crystals resemble spessartines in their rich orange/red color. Choice combination material. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $400, more than five years ago.
