Item Description
A few years ago, some very impressive red color chondrodites were found in Afghanistan in the same area where the famous Lapis Lazuli is mined. This piece is a rather sharp, well-formed, gemmy (when backlit), red color monoclinic crystal of Chondrodite from this contemporary discovery. The piece comes to us with a label from dealer Phil Scalisi (originally labeled as a Hydroxyclinohumite from Nagar, Pakistan, but we know that the information on these was sketchy when they first came out, so the mistake is understandable). You don't see Chondrodites like this very often, excellent form and color. Priced at $600.
