Item Description

Masonite is an impure variety of chloratoid and specimens from this very obscure Rhode Island Type Locality are VERY RARE. This is a lustrous, solid greenish-gray platy specimen of the varietal. From an East Coast collection and comes with torn, faded old label, that certainly predates World War II and is probably closer to World War I in age. Not pretty to look at, but is a RARE, rich and desirable example of the rare varietal.
