Item Description
Chloritoid is an uncommon complex Fe-Mg-Mn-Al silicate of the Chloritoid Group. It is EXTREMELY RARE from the historic old emery (corundite) metabauxite deposits at Chester. Highly lustrous plates of greenish-gray chloritoid cover the essentially solid chloritoid matrix on this very rich and rare old-timer from an East Coast collection. Comes century-old faded and torn label. A great rarity and MUST for the locality or species collector.
