Item Description

Childrenite is a rare hydrated phosphate and is an uncommon and highly desirable accessory mineral from the famous mines of Cornwall and Devon (Type Locality). Sharp, gemmy, golden-brown crystals to 2-3 mm are richly and attractively clusterered on the matrix of mostly pyrite and quartz. A very fine and rich example of the species and locale from the John Calvert Collection (an early 1900s LA-area collector). Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock.
