Item Description

Outstanding, unusually large terminated childrenite from the phosphate pegmatites of the Linopolis area. The very glassy, lustrous, translucent, striated, tapered wedge-shaped crystal is a pleasing yellow-brown. The attached sidecar crystals on both sides add much character. The crystals have a warm glow, when backlit. The bit of noted modest chatter on the crystal edges certainly has minimal impact to this exceptional large specimen of this uncommon phosphate species.
