Item Description

Chiavennite is a rare Zeolite Group species containing beryllium and is VERY RARE from this obscure abandoned larvikite quarry. Specimens of ANY species are rare from this quarry. Crusts of tiny bladed orange tufts of chiavennite are richly scattered on the very showy combination piece. Sculptural parallel-growth clusters of eudidymite blades are nicely accented with glassy, elongated natrolite prisms. The matrix is solid analcime. An EXTRA RARE and fine combination from this locale. Ex Eugene Carmichael Collection.
