Item Description

This is a top level Tsumeb thumbnail as it shows the famous classic pattern for the malachite pseudomorphs of "old style", with a vibrant, silky, chatoyant and shimmering surface of malachite. Vibrant, velvet green malachite, has partially pseudomorphed azurite associated with cerussite. The surface shows an amazing iridescence in multiple patterns that is attractive in a way that really catches the eye. This is almost unique to Tsumeb in this kind of surface texture for malachite. Ex: Mary Perry, Jingnan (Tom) Zhang Coll.
