Item Description

Chalcotrichite, a variety of cuprite, is uncommon from the famous Emke Mine, which has produced world-class cuprite specimens and outstanding copper and calcite specimens. A striking, rich crust of iridescent strawberry-metallic chalcotrichite coats the front of the large sculptural laminated plate copper specimen. Chalcotrichite and native copper together are very uncommon and this is an exceptional example. Valued at $1000 for richness, quality and rarity.
