Item Description

Chalcostibite is an uncommon Cu-Sb sulfosalt usually found in hydrothermal veins. This very fine and showy small cabinet combination from a classic French locale is highlighted by a well-placed 2.2 x 1.7 cm, lustrous, metallic bladed crystal on the bladed siderite. The smaller crystal cluster atop the large chalcostilbite looks like a bowtie! Very nifty. There is another 1.5 cm crystal on the edge of the piece. This excellent piece is from a lucky find of the early 1990s. Most people consider these to be the best examples of their species, for display purposes. Valued at $850.
