Item Description
Strikingly colorful and outstanding chalcostibite from Morocco. Chalcostibite is an rare Sb-Cu sulfosalt and this a rare solid piece of lustrous, metallic-bright, striated chalcostibite blades with a rich royal-blue color caused by a thin partial replacement of azurite. The super-rich blue looks like fine lapis lazuli. The uncommon locality is Rhar el Anz, Morocco. Very seldom available on the market from this locality in this exceptional two-sided quality. Most pieces you see are much more altered to malachite and azurite and do not have this rich hue of blue. Ex Marty Zinn Collection # 7057 and valued at $1000-ish.
