Item Description
A beautiful Chalcopyrite specimen featuring a predominant 2.3 cm crystal with bright metallic golden color which is associated with a "spray" of water-clear, rather lustrous, thin prismatic Quartz crystals. The luster, sharpness and quality of the Chalcopyrite is as good as pieces I have seen from famous localities such as Cavnic, Romania, the Huaron District of Peru, or the renowned Camp Bird mine in Colorado. The Chalcopyrite is not 100% perfect, and is fairly complete most of the way around. Specimens from Bulgaria are not terribly common on the market, but the mines in Madan produce some of the most attractive and impressive sulfides (Galena, Sphlaerite, Chalcopyrite, etc) in the world.
