Chalcopyrite with Quartz and Pyrite

A big showy cabinet sized example of this classic material from this famous locality featuring many sharp, well-formed tetragonal scalenohedral crystals of Chalcopyrite measuring up to 1.6 cm on edge sitting atop a matrix of sharp, well-formed, colorless/white, prismatic translucent Quartz crystals, and associated with tiny sparkling metallic light golden pyritohedral crystal groups of Pyrite. The Chalcopyrites have a slight oxidation/coating on the surface, but you can see areas of brassy iridescence underneath. The piece has great sculptural form and displays quite well as you can see from the video. A fine quality piece of this wonderful old-time material from the 1970s. Valued $1,200.
