Sulfide combinations from the famous Panasqueira Mine are a European classic. This striking and excellent mounded plate is highlighted by the fabulous, stepped-growth, golden chalcopyrite crystals, to 3.5 cm. A very well-placed 4.0 cm, lustrous, jet-black wolframite crystal and scattered silver-metallic arsenopyrite crystals are classic compliments. The large chalcopyrites and the wolframite are pristine. Scattered bruising to the arsenopyrites and the periphery wear are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions to aesthetic and very fine combination from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Even the mine level is known. Valued at $600.
