Chalcopyrite w/ Quartz (classic locale)

Item Description

A classic and aesthetic combination specimen from famous Concepcion del Oro of Zacatecas. A 2.5 cm, sharp chalcopyrite sphenoid is dramatically perched atop matrix and accented with smaller chalcos and quartz points. The sphenoids have striking golden to magenta iridesence to a matte tarnish, depending on the light incidence. The impressive, large sphenoid has a modest bit of edge wear and second chalco is pristine. This combination is quite uncommon from this noted locale and this is an excellent example.
