Chalcopyrite w/ Galena (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Choice, large, moderately lustrous, golden chalcopyrite sphenoids to 3.9 cm are aesthetically stacked and nicely accented with galena on one end on this showy and fine specimen from the famous Creede District. A couple of bruised crystals are noted, but can be minimized by the display view. Rare, very large crystals from a small mid-1980s find. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased from David New in 1988. A must for the locality or species collector.
