Item Description
A classic and hard to find specimen from the famous locality at Neudorf, which is best known for its classic cuboctahedral Galena crystals associated with greenish-brown Siderite. This is a lesser seen specimen of Chalcopyrite featuring splendent, bright, very sharp, golden metallic crystals measuring up to 7 mm associated with compressed rhombohedral Siderite crystals measuring up to 5 mm with associated gemmy white / colorless Quartz crystals on matrix. Good crystallized specimens of Chalcopyrite are hard to find on the market, and this one is certainly worth picking up if you collect German minerals or worldwide sulfides. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8399). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
