Chalcopyrite (RARE locality specimen)

Item Description

An incredibly hard to find specimen of crystallized Chalcopyrite labeled as coming from the Grasberg Complex, which is now listed as the Gunung Bijih District (Grasberg District) on mindat.org. This piece features excellent, splendent, rich brassy colored, sharp, well-formed crystals of Chalcopyrite measuring up to 4 mm, sitting on matrix. Most of the Chalcopyrite crystals are in good shape, but there are some rough spots. I had fun looking at the crystals with a loupe, as some of them are brilliant and pristine. For you sulfide collectors, or fans of rare locality specimens, this is something that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else for sale, so don't miss out!
