Chalcopyrite on Dolomite (old classic)

Item Description

A large, classic, old-time, combination plate from the famous Tri-State District. Iridescent, brass-yellow, triangular chalcopyrite crystals are richly peppered on the 3-dimensional carpet of elongated, moderate-luster, pastel-pink dolomite rhombs on the matrix of gray chert. Pristine and the chalcopyrites reach 5 mm. Excellent large material.
