Chalcopyrite on Dolomite

Chalcopyrites from Mount Lyell are not common on the market, and pieces like this are worthwhile to pick up if you collect this kind of material. The entire piece is nearly a "floater", as I can't see a true point of attachment, but there are few tiny nicks around the bottom, so it's not 100% complete, but darn close. Several rich golden color, iridescentm sharp, lustrous Chalcopyrite crystals are sitting on a single rhomb of Dolomite. For an added touch, there's a cute little gem Quartz crystal flaring out of the side of the Dolomite. Very showy for the size, and just a cool overall specimen from this SIGNIFICANT gold producing locality that's been running for well over a century!
